What is Gyrotonic?

Gyrotonic is a movement practice similar to pilates or yoga. It uses special equipment using pulleys vs pilate’s spring resitance.

The method was developed by Julio Horvath and contains elements of ballet, swimming, martial arts and yoga. Gyrotonic movements are very fluid, and there is a focus on spinal articulation and mobility. These exercises are are three dimensional, which challenges coordination and use complex patterns to challenge the nervous system. There is a special focus on opening of the chest and many office tight shoulders have found relief through the circular movements. To find out more about gyrotonic visit gyrotonic.com
